Begeisterte Schüler der Realschule plus und FOS Untermosel stellen 1000 Liter eigenen Apfelsaft her
Einen sehr süßen Beigeschmack hatte der Schulunterricht an der Realschule plus und FOS Untermosel, als dort auf dem Schulhof für die Dauer eines ganzes Schultages eine erfolgreiche Apfelsaftproduktion in Betrieb ging.
Unter der Leitung ihres Klassenlehrers Bernhard Irsch hatte die Klasse 8 c auf Streuobstwiesen der Umgebung fleißig das Fallobst gesammelt. Durch einen Elternbrief war die Sammelaktion zudem auf die ganze Schule ausgeweitet worden, so dass schließlich rund eine Tonne Äpfel zusammenkamen. Bernhard Irsch kooperierte nun mit der Firma Noll, die nun auf dem Schulhof eine mobile Apfelpresse aufbaute und die Schüler der Klasse 8c in die einzelnen Schritte der halbmechanischen Gewinnung des goldenen Fruchtsaftes einwies.
Und schon ging es los: Nach einem Wasserbad wurden die sauberen Äpfel nun kleingehäckselt, um anschließend in der Presse den Saft freizugeben. Am angeschlossenen Zapfhahn füllten die Schüler die gewonnene Flüssigkeit nun in fünf Liter „Bags“. Die Schüler der Klasse 8c waren mit Engagement und Teamgeist beim Unterricht der anderen Art aktiv.
„ Den Schülern bereitete es viel Spaß, an mehreren Tagen auf den Streuobstwiesen der Region Äpfel zu sammeln und nun sie dann selbst zu verarbeiten “, erklärte Lehrer Bernhard Irsch zu der Aktion.
Im Viertelstundentakt konnten nun Schulklassen bei der Saftproduktion über die Schulter schauen und bekamen nun auf diese Weise einen Eindruck vom Ablauf, aber eben auch vom enormen Aufwand bei der Herstellung eines Lebensmittels. Als sie nun sogar eine Kostprobe zu trinken bekamen, war die Faszination groß. Bis in den Nachmittag hinein brummte die Apfelpresse unter der Händen der emsigen Schüler, so dass man schließlich auf insgesamt rund 450 Liter des goldenen Fruchsaftes kam. „Die Aktion lief jedoch in den Wochen danach weiter, so dass wir gar 1000 Liter Apfelsaft herstellen konnten“, erklärt Lehrer Irsch hochzufrieden. Der Saft wurde nun auch an der Schule verkauft. „Den Erlös verwenden wir für die vierzigjährige Jubiläumsfeier unserer Schule im nächsten Jahr“, erklärt Bernhard Irsch und nimmt nun auch selbst lächelnd einen tiefen Schluck des schuleigenen Apfelsafts.
